What To Pack
Overall, island life is relaxed and informal and there is no dress code, although some guests choose to be more formal by night. Ties or jackets are not required at the Cotton House. The climate is humid and breezy and does not change much upon sundown; linen for men and lightweight, flowy dresses for ladies are staples.
Our Friday welcome party will be "island cocktail" attire, ties or jackets are not required.
Saturday's wedding ceremony and reception will be "island formal" attire, ties are not required.
Sunday's attire is "beach casual"; please wear your bathing suit if you'd like to swim. We will be in a covered picnic site with no indoor or private areas for changing.
For shopping, there is the Cotton House Boutique (serious damage can be done here, trust us), as well as the Pink House and Purple House - a fabulous ladies' and men's boutique on the island, owned and run by locals. https://www.pinkhousemustique.com/
“Mustique truly is the definition of quiet luxury, a term that was popularized in recent years to define a lifestyle focused on refined elegance rather than ostentatious showing of wealth. Unlike its bougies sister destinations such as St Barth or St Tropez, this is not the kind of place you spot Chanel swimwear, logoed bikinis or table service where sparkler-topped champagne is served by scantily clad waitresses. It has all the glitz and glamour without being gaudy. If Mustique had a personality type, it would be an extroverted introvert, someone who is outgoing but also thrives with quiet time.”
Sunscreen - we can't stress this enough! The island sells sunscreen but it may not be the brand (or price) you prefer, and the sun is very strong.
Sun hat
Portable Bluetooth speaker for mule and beach adventures
Electrical Converter - all properties are designed to accommodate up to a 220-240v system. Some villas are equipped with US sockets but most villas and the Cotton House have standard British plug sockets.
